Safety light grid for non-contact protection and control
The ULVT 500 / 2R safety light curtain is a non-contact protective and control device (ESPE) whose task is to protect people from accidents. This is achieved by shielding the power-driven work equipment in such a way that access to dangerous machine parts is only possible through the light beams of the light barrier. If the light beams are penetrated, the machine is reliably stopped in good time.

Functional description ULVT 500 / 2R
The ULVT 500/2R safety grid light barrier consists of two components: Receiver / transmitter unit and deflecting mirror. Combining the receiver and transmitter in a single housing reduces the amount of cabling required. (Electrical connection only at the receiver/transmitter unit).
The hazardous movement is switched off by a discrete, simple safety sequential circuit or by the application-optimized switching devices of the LSUW series.

The light barrier signals are evaluated by LSUW switching devices, a safe PLC or a safe sequential circuit consisting of only four contactors.
