Flexible safety for a wide range of machine applications, optionally with blanking function
The mesh light barrier is a powerful solution for safeguarding danger zones on machines and is ideal for applications such as safeguarding access areas, body protection, horizontal guarding and robot guarding. With protective field heights of up to 1900 mm, detection ranges of up to 24 m, optionally up to 60 m. The mesh light barrier is advantageous where space is not a major factor.
Thanks to integrated safety functions such as contactor monitoring, restart interlock and continuous self-diagnosis, the grid light barrier is immediately ready for operation - without the need for an additional safety module. This not only simplifies installation, but also increases reliability during operation. The robust design in protection class IP65 ensures reliable use even under demanding industrial conditions. Function
Functional description ULVT - Grid
The ULVT safety light curtains consist of two components: Light emitter and receiver. The distance between the two components and the overall height determine the protective field width and height. Due to the modular design, protective field heights from 100 mm to 1900 mm are available. If an object is located in the protective field, i.e. at least one of the beams is obscured, the two outputs of the receiver interrupt the dangerous movement of the machine or prevent it from starting. In the operating mode with restart interlock, the machine can only be restarted by pressing the start button while the protective field is clear again. Several LEDs on the receiver indicate the respective operating status. If the system detects an internal or external fault, the machine is switched off immediately and the LEDs in the transmitter or receiver flash to indicate the fault status to the user.
ULVT Gitter
Integrated plug connection in the connection cover The ULVT series is supplied as standard with a very flat plug connection located in the connection cover. The connection cover can be removed without disconnecting the connection cable. The housing remains closed. Various commercially available connectors are available as an option. The transmitter is connected via a 3-pin cable and the receiver via a 5 to 7-pin cable (depending on the operating mode).
