How SLVT works
The transmitter generates infrared light beams that are switched on and off in quick succession. The parallel light beams at a distance of 7.5 mm are evaluated in the receiver in synchronization with the transmitter. A resolution of 7.5 mm is achieved due to the beam spacing.
If there is an object with a diameter of ≥7.5 mm in the sensor field, i.e. at least one of the beams is darkened, the two outputs of the receiver switch.
